In connection with the sale of equipment which contains batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are required to draw your attention to the following battery disposal regulations:
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. As the end-user, you are responsible for the proper disposal of used batteries.
You can dispose of used batteries by returning them to the point of purchase, at communal collection points, at commercial collection points or also by post (postage paid) to the point of purchase.

Batteries or rechargeable batteries containing hazardous materials are marked with the following or similar symbol of a waste bin with superimposed cross:
The chemical abbreviation for the hazardous material is shown below the waste bin symbol - in the above example 'Cd' for Cadmium. 'Pb' stands for Lead, 'Hg' for Mercury.
These instructions will also be reproduced in the papers accompanying the goods shipment or in the manufacturer's operating instructions.
